Long-Arm News

After much thought, I have decided to no longer offer Long-arm quilting service here at the Coop. We have come to realize that we aren’t using the shop space to our best advantage by having such a large machine occupying the area, so we are selling the machine. If you (or anyone you know of) are interested in purchasing the Long-arm, and starting your own home quilting business please stop in or call for details.

Coming in November

Why Do I Have to Buy the Book?

Ever wonder why you sometimes need to buy the book when you take a class? It’s to honor the copyright!    If a class is taught from a book/pattern, the quilt shop must require that each student purchase the book/pattern or have permission from the author to copy it.  Simply copying the pattern and providing it to you as a part of the class would be a violation of copyright law.  It would deny the copyright holder (usually the author) from benefiting from their work.  Quilter’s Coop offers a discount to students of all books/patterns required for a class taught in our shop.
